» Justin Timberlake Searches For Unknown Engaged Couple In New Video
Author: Kierra   •   Published: March 21, 2014   •   No Comments

Post Categories: Music Videos , Not A Bad Thing

Today in Things That Will Make You Feel All Warm and Fuzzy Inside, Justin Timberlake premiered his new video for “Not a Bad Thing” on Ellen, which doubles as a documentary about the search for a couple who got engaged on the Long Island Railroad to the tune of the same track.

As the documentarians scour New York City for their mystery couple – goofy text message pop-ups included – the video includes a bunch of heartwarming interviews with couples about their own proposals, as well as the struggles and rewards of finding love, or letting love find you. While it looks like the filmmakers may have found the lovebirds, the clip ends with a “To be continued…” message. Following the clip, Ellen DeGeneres asked viewers to get in touch with the show if they know the couple so Timberlake can finally meet them. So for now, it seems, the search for true love continues.

“Not a Bad Thing” shows up on part two of Timberlake’s 2013 album, The 20/20 Experience. The pop star is about to embark on a European and U.K. tour, but will return to the States this July for a string of summer dates. During his brief respite from the road, Timberlake helped his pal Jimmy Fallon break in his new gig as host of the Tonight Show by showing up for the fifth installment of their “History of Rap” series.

» “There’s Something Wrong With You” Justin Tells Beyonce

Even super talented musician Justin Timberlake is blown away by Beyonce’s incredible vocals.

In a new behind the scenes video from Bey’s surprise self-titled fifth album, Justin is awed as Jay-Z’s wife voice as they collaborate on her song ‘Rockets.’

“Justin Timberlake, Miguel and myself all worked together to write ‘Rockets.’ It was a moment in the studio where I didn’t want to stop singing it and I just kind of zoned out,” she explains as the video shows her perfectly hitting a high note.

“Um, wow! There’s something wrong with you,” a cleary impressed JT jokes after she finishes singing. “Thank you,” she laughs.

Blue Ivy’s mom felt she could finally do whatever she wanted on this record, including show her sexual side in the risque and explicit accompanying videos.

“I feel like I’ve finally earned the right to be me and to express any and every side of myself,” she says. “I feel like I’m opening up a lot in these videos and showing a lot of sides that only a few people have ever seen. ”

“Only a momma can talk like that and a wife can talk like that. That’s your strength,” Pharrell offers.

Watch for a cute cameo from Blue Ivy in the video, too!

» Justin Timberlake Had Best Selling Album In 2013
Author: Kierra   •   Published: January 06, 2014   •   No Comments

Post Categories: News , The 20 20 Experience

At the midyear point, Justin Timberlake’s “20/20 Experience” was 2013′s best-selling album. Now that the year has concluded, Timberlake maintains that honor, having sold nearly 2.5 million copies. That’s an impressive figure for Timberlake but a depressing one for the music industry as a whole, as Nielsen SoundScan hasn’t seen a No. 1 album sell that few copies in its 22-year history. (For a comparison, Adele’s “21″ was the top seller in 2012 with 4.41 million copies sold and again in 2011 with 5.82 million.)

On top of that, only one album in the Top 10 comes from a female artist: Beyonce’s “Beyonce”, which is also the newest item on the list. Katy Perry’s “Prism” is the second highest-selling release by a female artist, clocking in at No. 14 with 969,000 copies sold.

The top-selling vinyl albums were Daft Punk’s “Random Access Memories” (49,000 copies) and Vampire Weekend’s “Modern Vampires of the City” (34,000).

» Justin Timberlake And Jimmy Fallon To So ‘SNL’ Together
Author: Kierra   •   Published: November 24, 2013   •   No Comments

Post Categories: Saturday Night Live

“Saturday Night Live” has an awesome Christmas present for viewers, and it’s not a private part in a box, but close: the dynamic duo of Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon will be doing the Dec. 21 show.

NBC announced Thursday that the former “SNL” cast member will be hosting for the second time, while the musician will be back as musical guest for a fifth time.

Fallon was quick to ask his pal for some help for the upcoming show.

But don’t bet on JT being limited to just performing a tune or two, as most musicians do on the show. After all, he has performed hosting and musical duties in the past. In 2006, his hilarious skit “D— in a Box” with Andy Samberg went viral and later won a Creative Arts Emmy.

The digital short became so popular that “SNL” featured Timberlake and Samberg in two more similar bits, 2009′s “Motherlover” and “3-Way (The Golden Rule)” in 2011. The later skits proved just as popular, with “Motherlover” getting nearly 57 million views on YouTube to date, and “3-Way” with nearly 56 million.

Though Samberg left the show in 2012, that won’t leave Timberlake without a comic and musical foil on the comedy show. The musician and late-night host Fallon have collaborated on four installments of “History of Rap,” a medley of hip-hop music, on Fallon’s “Late Night” show. In addition, they’ve poked fun at annoying hashtag conversations, and played brothers in the “SNL” skit “The Barry Gibb Talk Show,” just to name a few projects.

Though the pre-Christmas pairing will likely have viewers’ bellies jiggling like bowls full of jelly, they’re not the only promising guests “SNL” has scheduled for December. “Anchorman” star Paul Rudd will host for his third time on Dec. 7, with musical guest One Direction. John Goodman returns Dec. 14th for his lucky 13th hosting gig, and Kings of Leon return to provide the live tunes that evening.

“SNL” is currently in its 39th season, and airs Saturdays at 11:30 on NBC.
